Berkeley’s exclusive Gay Fraternity

Sigma Epsilon Omega (SEO) is one of the few Gay Fraternities in the country. Established Feb. 22, 2007, Sigma Epsilon Omega offers an awesome opportunity to make lifelong friendships, have a lot of fun, exercise some Cal spirit, and make history one day at a time.

Why a Gay Fraternity and who can join?
Although Sigma Epsilon Omega is a Gay Fraternity, our Brotherhood is open to any individual that identifies as male and supports our mission statement. Every individual that rushes (straight, bi-sexual, gay, etc.) will be treated equally and will be put through the same process.
Sigma Epsilon Omega, similar to other fraternities, seeks to bring together individuals with common interests, who are also facing common problems. As a Gay Fraternity, we as Brothers can provide each other with valuable advice and support concerning issues that face the Gay community. Sigma Epsilon Omega also offers Gay individuals a positive social outlet that does not just revolve around Gay clubs or bars and thus allows our Brothers to form healthy, positive lifelong friendships.

  Purpose:
We, the Brothers of Sigma Epsilon Omega have come together for the betterment of the Community we reside, both on campus and off.
We strive to be role models for our peers and pillars for our Brothers.
We strive to uphold the values of respect, understanding, and acceptance necessary for our cause.
We stand by the words of the late Martin Luther King Jr. that one day our great nation will live up to its creed that all persons are created equal and that no person should have to fight for equality any longer under the law because the truth of equality of all persons is self-evident.
